LEGO Engineering Curriculum Modules
Our curriculum modules are fully-developed, classroom-tested
instructional sequences that address specific STEM concepts through
LEGO engineering activities. Each module consists of a cohesive set of
class sessions, with each session building upon previous learning. For
each module, we provide you with lesson plans, teacher resource
documents, student handouts, and assessment materials. Although
each module was created for a particular age group, you may find ways
to adapt them for a different set of students. Enjoy, and let us know
how it goes!
This series of curricula engages upper elementary students in
explorations of science principles (animals, simple machines, properties of materials, and sound) through LEGO design projects. Students engage in multiple design projects learning about engineering and the engineering design process as they deepen their understanding of the underlying science principles in these topic areas.

Grades 6-8
This curriculum module engages middle-school students in designing,
building and programming a LEGO robot that could work as an assistive
device for the physically challenged population. The students form
teams or "companies" that work together to create their LEGO robot
prototype. The module culminates in a final presentation where student
teams present their products to a panel of judges.
